The Washington Capitals acquired Red Wings winger Anthony Mantha in a blockbuster deal ahead of Monday's NHL trade deadline, the team announced.
In exchange, the Capitals sent the Red Wings forwards Jakub Vrana and Richard Panik, as well as a 2021 first-round pick and a 2022 second-round pick.
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has acquired forward Carl Soderberg from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forwards Ryder Rolston and Josh Dickinson.
Soderberg, 35, has appeared in 34 games for the Blackhawks this season, tallying 15 points (7g/8a). He’s tied for sixth on the team in points and his 1:30 of average shorthanded ice time per game ranks fourth among Blackhawks forwards. Soderberg ranks third on the team in faceoffs won (194) and faceoff win percentage (51.5%).
The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired forward Mattias Janmark from the Chicago Blackhawks for a second-round pick in the 2021 NHL draft, sources told ESPN's Emily Kaplan. Chicago also sends a fifth-round pick next year for Vegas' third-rounder.
The Los Angeles Kings traded forward Jeff Carter to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a 2022 conditional third-round pick and a 2023 conditional fourth-round pick, the teams announced Sunday night.
Los Angeles will retain 50% of Carter's salary, which runs through the 2021-22 season and carries a $5.272 million cap hit.
The Sabres have agreed to trade Taylor Hall to the Bruins in a deal that also will see Curtis Lazar go to Boston, with Buffalo receiving Anders Bjork and a 2021 second-round pick, a source confirmed to ESPN.
Hall waived his no-movement clause to facilitate the deal, which is pending a trade call. The Sabres are retaining 50% of Hall's salary, the source said.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has acquired goaltender David Rittich from the Calgary Flames in exchange for Toronto’s third round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft. As part of the deal, Calgary will retain 50 percent of Rittich’s contract.
Rittich, 28, has appeared in 15 games for the Flames this season and posted a 4-7-1 record with a 2.90 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.
The Columbus Blue Jackets traded captain Nick Foligno to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday.
The Blue Jackets received a 2021 first-round pick, as well as a 2022 fourth-round choice, and will also retain 25% of Foligno's contract, which expires this summer. Foligno is in the final season of a six-year contract with a $5.5 million cap hit, and waived a no-trade clause to complete the deal.
